1. Describe yourself and your work

I'm tall, I love comics, and I do playful, colourful work.

2. How did you get started?

I loved drawing as a kid, but I carried on.

3. What piece of work best represents you and why?

It's simple, bold, about a current subject, is supposedly funny, and has two levels of reading. This is what I try to do with my work, in a nutshell.

4. What are you into currently?

[Editor's note: Jullien answered in images, not words. Those images are above.]

5. Which three things you've learned that young creatives should know?

Produce daily, put your work online, and know the world you live in to communicate about it efficiently.

5¼. Favorite color? That changes everyday. Today was a good pink/gray/brown combo.

5½. Favorite website? Newsarama.com.

5¾. Pet peeve?  People cutting their nails in public transport

People who don't turn off keyboard sounds on their telephones

People who tap their fingers "rhythmically"

Spicy food

Frogs

Period dramas

Raw onions

Aubergines

[Editor's note: In a departure from our normal 5 & 3/4 Questions format, we're ending with one of the artist's illustrations. "Peace for Paris" probably looks familiar: Jean Jullien produced it as an instinctive response to the November 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, and it swept the Internet in a matter of hours.]
