Recapture the Joy of Spontaneous Sketching

Pascal Campion began drawing as a child because he wanted to tell stories. As he grew, he continued the practice, eventually studying narrative illustration at Arts Decoratifs de Strasbourg in France. He now draws professionally for all sorts of media, from books to games to videos.

We recently asked Campion to try a relatively new mobile app, Adobe Fresco. The twist: We requested that his inspiration be one of his own drawings from when he was young. See the results for yourself in the video below.

Campion's original drawing, followed by the recent recreation. As you can see, the Adobe Fresco recreation has more characters—Campion said he was having so much fun that he didn’t want to stop.

Campion sketches every day; follow his Instagram feed to see many of those drawings. And if you're inspired to revisit your own childhood art, download Fresco and let us know how it goes by posting your results on Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #recreatewithFresco.
