Color inspiration is all around us. I work at Adobe's San Francisco office and live nearby, and almost every night, I take a photo of the sunset wherever I am. I turned some of these images into color theme libraries that you can download and use in many Adobe apps, including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, XD, and even mobile apps like Adobe Fresco. Feel free to use the themes in any way you want, and we hope you tag #adobecreate so we can see what you make.
How to Install the Color Themes
Follow these four simple steps:
- Click the link above to go to the SF Sunsets page.
- If you're not already signed into your Creative Cloud account, you'll be prompted to do so.
- On the SF Sunsets page, click the button "Copy to your work."
- Launch an Adobe app and open its Libraries panel. The SF Sunset library will appear as an option.
I created the color themes with Adobe Capture. Generating palettes from photos is only one of its many functions. Capture is not only super-powerful, it's super easy, and because it's a mobile app, it's always with you.
