Illustration • Free Resources Free Paper Textures from Letterform Archive

These 10 textures from a selection of antique printed materials can add depth to your images.

The nonprofit Letterform Archive houses a curated collection of more than 50,000 items related to typography, lettering, and graphic design, spanning thousands of years of history. The textures they’ve made available here were taken from items in that collection. Use these paper- or cloth-like textures to give your images a vintage or abstract look. (Simply add the texture image as a layer and adjust its blend, color, and/or opacity settings to your liking.)

There are two sets to download: for very high-resolution files, we’re offering the individual textures at 300 dpi (these image files are each more than 60MB). The same set at 72 dpi can be downloaded together in one compressed folder.
